Every Spring we release our annual “summer red” - a wine that's a little lighter in style and intended to be enjoyed slightly chilled, This vintage is 46% Cab Franc, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot - all from the the Wildcat and Saffron Vineyards on Napa's Mount Veeder. Cab Franc is the driver from front to back and makes this an easy wine to pair with spicy foods, cheeses or to enjoy on its own.

Sourced from a single vineyard in Napa's Conn Valley in the western foothills of Howell Mountain. Deep ruby in color with a hint of purple, this elegant Cab Franc has pronounced aromas of black raspberry, blueberry and wilted roses. Medium to full-bodied, the lush palate reveals a myriad of red and black fruit layers and a hint of chocolate, all with a chewy frame and long perfumed finish that is seemingly endless.

Gold Medal - 2022 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Big, bright and bold. Made from all Mount Veeder fruit, this Bordeaux-style blend is comprised of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 4% Cab Franc. Defined by a deep red color and a nose of dark fruits, graphite and black spices, this wine is youthful but muscular. The palate is richly textured with lively, structured tannins and layers of blackberry, cocoa, cardamom and toasted oak.

Our flagship wine has a lively and intense nose leading with a hint of fresh violets and dark fruits. Flavors of bright red cherries, blackberries and black currant are highlighted with subtle cranberry. With a full-bodied mouthfeel and moderate tannins, the flavors progressively include a subtle spice component with dark chocolate, pepper, licorice, and cedar.

95 Points & Double Gold - American Fine Wine Competition Invitational

This is the second vintage of our flagship wine from the Wildcat Vineyard, and she's a beauty. Jumping out of the glass are aromas of milk chocolate covered strawberries, spices and subtle toasted oak. Concentrated flavors lead with blackberry, cherry and cranberry with well-integrated tannins. The bright fruits are balanced by beautiful acidity and a hint of minerality.

Spring 2021 Release for Wine Club Members

A true Monopole wine made from a single grape clone, from a single lot of vines, from a single vineyard on Napa's Mount Veeder. Garçon means boy in French, so we named this wine for the clone 169 Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Wildcat Vineyard that we lovingly refer to as The Bratty Boy. It's a special bottling that we won't make often. He's tenacious with moderate tannins and full-bodied with black fruit, toasty oak, baking spices, and finish that's long and smooth.

This very limited bottling showcases the best Cabernet lots from the Wildcat Vineyard on Mount Veeder. Aged for 26 months in all new French oak, it's silky, supple and voluptuous. Oak and fruit notes drive the nose out of the glass, and the balanced fruit arrives on the palate with a complete front to back finish.
